How I Work With My Clients

The Shift Method.

Four phases. From surviving to living — with a clear path between them.

Grounded in attachment theory and psychoanalytic thinking, translated into practical coaching.

01

Recognize

Name what you’re actually doing — the performing, the over-functioning, the bar that keeps moving — and where it started.

02

Reframe

Understand that what’s keeping you stuck isn’t a flaw. It’s a pattern that once protected you. That changes everything.

03

Rebuild

Restore trust in your own decision-making, so you stop second-guessing and start choosing.

04

Reclaim

Move from survival mode to a life that actually feels like yours — on your terms, at your pace.

Curious which phase you’re in?

Who I Help

You have so much. Why doesn’t it feel like enough?

Amanda Savinon

You have the career. The apartment. The trips. The friends who think you have it together. You’ve worked hard for all of it. And still something feels off. The bar keeps moving. You’re already focused on the next goal before you’ve sat down to celebrate the last one. You’re proud of what you’ve built and somehow still waiting to actually feel it.

You’ve been doing this a long time. Relying on yourself. Figuring it out. Not asking for too much from anyone. It worked. It got you here.

Except here doesn’t feel the way you thought it would.

What you’re feeling isn’t ingratitude. It’s not a personal flaw. It’s a pattern that started long before your career — maybe in a childhood where emotional safety was inconsistent, conditional, or just not there. You learned early to keep moving. To achieve. To need less.

That pattern protected you then. Now it keeps you moving forward in some areas of your life and completely stuck in others.

You don’t need to tear down what you’ve built. You need to acknowledge what made you who you are — and decide to go deeper than survival.

1:1 Coaching

For women who are done operating in survival mode and ready to build a life that’s about more than just getting through the day. Using The Shift Method, we uncover what’s keeping you stuck, name what you actually want, and build a plan you’ll follow.

I'm ready to start

This is for women who are done surviving and ready to start building — and want someone in their corner who knows exactly what that takes. It isn’t therapy, and it isn’t a quick fix.

Hi, I'm Amanda

I'm so glad
you're here.

Before I became a coach, I spent most of my life doing what many of us do: surviving, achieving, performing… while quietly wondering if life was supposed to feel different. That question changed everything for me.

I didn't grow up with an easy start.

My mom and I were separated for the first sixteen years of my life, and my dad was incarcerated when I was ten. For a long time, I lived in survival mode. But healing taught me something: you don't have to wait for your whole life to change to start feeling better.

I spent fifteen years as a photo editor and creative producer with Vogue, GQ, New York Magazine, and Bloomberg Businessweek. I created Loyal Nana, interviewing women like Sonia Sotomayor and Megan Thee Stallion about identity, resilience, and transformation.

My career was built around helping brands tell meaningful stories. Now I help people understand and reshape their own.

My coaching is informed by psychoanalytic and attachment theory — the fields that take seriously how early relationships shape the adults we become. This isn’t therapy. It’s coaching that refuses to pretend the past doesn’t live in the present.

Common Questions

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy treats mental illness and works with clinical diagnoses. Coaching works with functional adults who want to change their relationship with their past and their present. I draw on psychoanalytic ideas because they’re the most honest framework for the work my clients are doing — but we’re building forward, not diagnosing backward.

Is this a quick fix?

No. Patterns that took decades to form don’t dissolve in a weekend. The Shift Method is structured to create real, lasting change — 8 to 12 weeks of committed work. You’ll see shifts sooner than that, but the arc takes time.

How do I know if this is for me?

The free 15-minute discovery call is built exactly for this. We talk about where you are, where you want to go, and whether The Shift Method is the right fit — if any. No pressure, no pitch.
